Best Coach Leather Bags to Buy Pros and Cons Reviewed

October 21, 2026 by Jack Krudwig

Coach Bags: A Complete Guide

Men’s small leather goods were Coach’s starting point in 1941, and women’s handbags followed only later, eventually becoming the mainstay of the brand. Today the selection of coach handbags spans tailored shoulder bags, slouchy hobos, satchels, carryalls, crossbodies and reissued archive designs. Each and every major line is covered in turn below, with a look at what the bag is, when it appeared and how it is built. A number of familiar lines have no reliable launch year on record, so dates are given here only where they are documented.

All prices are observed market prices from 2026 rather than an official price list, and they change with size, material and promotions. Similar names can point to entirely different designs, which is worth knowing when picking your first coach bag. When searching for a Coach bag, some shoppers type “couch bag” in error, and since the first word also denotes a sofa, furniture pages can end up in the results.

Tabby

The Tabby is a neatly structured shoulder bag that may also be worn crossbody, finished with detachable straps and Signature “C” hardware. Inspired by a silhouette from Coach’s 1970s archive, Stuart Vevers introduced it in 2019. The campaign that launched it, named “Dream It Real”, was reportedly shot by Juergen Teller. The main product name is Tabby Shoulder Bag, and sizes 20, 26 and 36 have appeared in listings.

The padded Pillow Tabby followed in 2021, listed under names such as Tabby Shoulder Bag 26 With Pillow Quilting. For US shoppers the Tabby 26 was observed at $475, and in the UK at £475, while quilted and special-edition versions carried higher prices. Its easy switch between shoulder and crossbody wear makes it well suited for buyers who want one bag for both day and evening.

The Brooklyn Line

Made in natural-grain leather, the Brooklyn is a slouchy coach shoulder bag that https://coschclothing.com/ is far closer to a hobo than to the structured Tabby. Having appeared on the Fall 2024 runway, it went on sale in August 2024. Reported listings point to two main sizes: the Brooklyn 28 and the bigger Brooklyn 39. Said to be large enough for a 15-inch laptop, the 39 is a practical choice for work.

A newer Brooklyn Carryall shape was reported for Spring 2026, and it is a separate bag from the shoulder styles. The Brooklyn 28 was observed at £350 at John Lewis for UK shoppers. The RealReal’s 2025 resale report noted that searches for Coach had climbed 160% and cited the Brooklyn among the bags mentioned; this number, however, tracks searches rather than resale prices.

The Rogue Line

Made with top handles and a shoulder strap, the Rogue is Coach’s structured take on the satchel. Having debuted on the Fall 2016 runway, it was later discontinued and then came back in a 2021 relaunch. At the very top of Coach’s leather range, the line offers versions in regenerative leather and exotic skins. The top Coach bag price observed in 2026 was for a Rogue 25 in alligator, observed at $8,000.

As reported, a Made-to-Order Rogue from Coach has taken roughly 12 weeks, stretching to about 16 weeks when exotic materials are used. Through Coach (Re)Loved, the brand’s own resale and repair program, restored Rogue bags have also appeared. Many collectors see the Rogue as a showcase for how far upmarket Coach craftsmanship can go.

The Empire Carryall Line

The Empire Carryall, listed as the Empire Carryall Bag 34, takes an elongated, east-west top-handle shape. After being shown on Coach’s Fall 2024 runway, it went on sale in February 2025. Fashion press reported that it sold out on its release day. Less structured variants called Soft Empire, including a Soft Empire 40, are different styles from the structured Carryall 34.

On Coach’s own UK website, the Empire Carryall 34 was observed at £475. With its long top-handle shape, it makes a more polished alternative to a coach tote bag for day-to-day use. While comparing listings, look at the number that follows the name: 34 and 40 are not the same bag.

The Kisslock Names: Frame, Dreamer and Barrel

Kisslock is the name of a frame clasp modeled on vintage coin purses, a motif Coach connects with the Bonnie Cashin era. A number of different bags share the name, and they should not be mixed up. The Kisslock Frame Bag in glovetanned leather was reported as the look that opened the Fall 2026 show with an observed price of $350. Earlier Kisslock Frame versions also turn up in listings, so the family may predate that show.

The Kisslock Dreamer 21, with quilted nappa leather and rivets, is an older style now seen chiefly as restored or upcrafted pieces through Coach (Re)Loved. The Kisslock Barrel Bag is a Spring 2026 Coach Originals reissue modeled on a 1973 design. Bringing yet another use of the name, a Kisslock Backpack was also presented for Fall 2026.

The Swinger, the Swing Zip and The Coach Originals

Made up of newly made reissues of archive designs, The Coach Originals is a line of bags that are new rather than vintage. The Swinger is a short-strap, zip-top shoulder bag featuring a turnlock, and Coach traces the original design to 1987. The current version is the Swinger Bag 20, also available With Chain and in Signature canvas or jacquard. Modeled on a 1998 design, the Swing Zip is a separate Coach Originals bag, so the two names cannot be used interchangeably.

The Safari Bag from 1968, the Dinky from 1974 and the Hamptons Hobo from 2005 were other Originals reported in early 2025. By 2020, the Coach Originals name was reportedly in use. The line suits buyers who want an archive look without the wear of a genuinely vintage piece.

The Soho Names: Bag 25, Flap and Sneaker

Applied to three different products, Soho counts among the trickiest names in the Coach catalog. The original Soho Flap goes back to 2006. The Soho Bag 25 is not that 2006 bag but a smaller, newer reissue offered in materials such as glovetanned leather, patent leather and crystal jacquard. Listings have also included a Soho Flap Bag in regenerative leather, with Soho styles forming part of The Coach Originals.

By contrast, the Soho Sneaker is footwear that Coach has featured in 2025 and 2026, so it belongs among shoes and coach clothing rather than handbags. A search that includes “Bag 25” or “Flap” tends to separate the bags from the shoe. As no reliable current price for the Soho bags was captured, visit Coach’s own website before making a purchase.

Willow, Cassie and Juliet

None of these three lines has a documented launch year, well known as they are, so be cautious about any date you see online. A Willow Bucket, a Willow Shoulder bag and the Willow Tote 24 have all appeared in the pebble-leather Willow family. A Custom Willow Tote has also been offered on Coach’s own website; the Willow Tote 24, meanwhile, is a clear example of a coach tote bag. Cassie is a crossbody and top-handle family, taking in the Cassie Crossbody Bag 19 with a Signature turnlock and interchangeable straps.

Cassie styles have continued to be listed on Coach’s own website under newer style codes. Available in versions such as the Juliet Shoulder Bag 25 and the Pocket Juliet Bag 30, Juliet is a soft, slouchy shoulder bag in glovetanned leather. Availability changes from season to season, so check whether a given Willow, Cassie or Juliet style is still current before acting on an older review.

Every Line at a Glance: Observed Prices

For every main line, the table below shows the shape, the key date and, where one was reliably captured, an observed 2026 price. Rather than entries on an official Coach price list, these are observed market prices, and they change with size, material, color and promotions. UK prices include VAT, while US prices leave out sales tax. A coach outlet runs its own promotions on outlet styles, while full-price styles can be reduced during sales.

Coach Outlet is Coach’s own official channel, sold through outlet stores and an official online outlet section on Coach’s own website. Around 85% of outlet merchandise was made specifically for the outlet channel, according to a 2014 quote from Coach’s head of investor relations. Tapestry has since talked about bringing some full-price collection product into outlets, and that figure is dated. A full-price coach store or Coach’s own website continues to be the place to find current-season lines.
