Last week Becker Properties made the trip to Nashville, Tennessee to be a part of REbarcamp Nashville 3.0. REbarcamp’s are essentially an international network of user generated conferences where the content is provided by the participants. I like to refer to it as a “un-conference” personally.
Anyway, as an organizer of REbarcamp San Antonio, which is set to return for the second time on May 25th 2012, I had to be in Nashville for their event. REbarcamp Nashville 3.0 held on March 29th was extremely successful. Organizer Brian Copeland reported there being over 575 attendees sharing in 63 sessions from 27 states. The day was capped off with a mega session of top producing agents from across the country and a marriage proposal from Dale Chumbley to boot. I came with the intention of learning and listening to all the great talent and ended up leading sessions on video and WordPress. That’s the beauty of REbarcamps; you never know how the day will unfold, who you’ll meet or how they’ll impact your business. A perfect example: just three days ago I signed a referral agreement with an agent out of Nashville who has clients relocating to San Antonio.
I am so excited to share a recap video of the event from Becker Properties perspective. We met many new friends and were able to grow relationships with those we already knew. More importantly, we’ve implemented some of what we learned into our day to day business.
This video, like all our others, could not be possible without the talent of our Director of Video Production, Jacob Bondesen. So many thanks to Jake for his hard work on this event and for everything he does for our clients and our team. Please enjoy the video, share with friends and plan to attend REbarcamp San Antonio on Friday May 25th.
